The savanna vegetation of the Toekoms safari area provides a great opportunity for a successful and memorable hunt at affordable prices. Toekoms Hunting Safaris is owned and operated by Jannie and Marilize Delport. Jannie is not only a capable and qualified professional hunter, he is also an avid bow hunter himself. His intimate familiarity with the sprawling 10,000 hectare ranch - owned by his family for over 50 years - will ensure the visiting bow hunter an incredible trophy hunting experience.
The warm hospitality of Jannie and Marilize, along with their three daughters Mia, Mienke and Lienka will make your African safari unforgettable. Lodging consists of three comfortably furnished bedrooms and a swimming pool for cooling off when the temperatures rise. Wi-fi / internet facilities are available at the lodge. Meals are served under the traditionally thatched "lapa" and prepared on an open fire.
The hearty Namibian farm cuisine is of the highest quality with the majority of meals being prepared from fresh game meats. Photographers and bird-watchers will love the rugged, yet picturesque landscape with its colourful sunsets and abundant bird-life.

The Namibian hunting season runs from Feb 1 - Nov 30, but the best times for bow hunting are from June - November. As a general rule Namibia has a temperate climate with cool nights and warm days during most of the year. The heart of the Namibian winter runs from June through August with nights and mornings being quite cold, often with sub-freezing temperatures. The days are mild and sunny, so layering of clothing is essential. September through November can get quite hot during the day, so a hat and sun block are essential.
The huntable species at Toekoms includes Eland, Kudu, Oryx, Red Hartebeest, Blue and Black Wildebeest, Impala, Springbok, Duiker, Steenbok, Jackal, Warthog and Baboon, with several other species available on request.
Toekoms Hunting Safaris will obtain valid hunting permits for clients from Namibian Nature Conservation prior to the start of the hunt. Hunters entering Namibia with firearms must complete a temporary import permit application for all rifles and ammunition in their possession. We will be happy to assist you in obtaining the correct documentation. Please note that there is no documentation required for the temporary importing of archery equipment for use on a bow hunting safari.
